Chelsea Green became the inaugural Women’s United States Champion after defeating Michin in the tournament finals at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The match concluded when Green executed a modified Unprettier from the top rope, securing the victory with assistance from her tag team partner Piper Niven.
Former champion Naomi acknowledged Green’s performance on social media despite their ongoing rivalry. “Omg I can’t stand her but that was good🤭,” Naomi wrote.
Speaking with Bryan Saxton post-match, Green reflected on her achievement. “I’ve been doing this for 10 years. I’ve worked my entire life to be an overnight success, and this is my time. This is my night. Red, white, and green,” she said.
Green also addressed her journey to the championship. “I should’ve been there three years ago, but I was released. I should have been there in 2015, but I wasn’t hired. But now’s the time.”
The victory marks Green’s first singles championship since joining WWE.
