WWE makes unexpected RAW on Netflix decision, fans outraged

Chris Featherstone from Sportskeeda reports that WWE RAW will retain its commercial format when it transitions to Netflix. The streaming presentation will mirror the current USA Network structure, maintaining natural broadcast breaks throughout the program.

During the “RAW on Netflix Kickoff” YouTube event, WWE announced CM Punk will face Seth Rollins in the streaming platform’s debut episode. The January 6 main event marks the culmination of months of confrontation between both competitors.

Netflix detailed its viewing options for subscribers. Episodes will become available immediately after the live broadcast concludes. Additionally, subscribers planning to watch offline can download episodes approximately 48 hours after the initial airing.

Global distribution and content expansion

Netflix has outlined its regional distribution strategy for WWE RAW. While the United States receives exclusive streaming rights, the coverage extends to territories including American Samoa, Guam, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

International subscribers in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and other regions will receive additional WWE content, including SmackDown, NXT, and Premium Live Events.

Netflix plans to begin offering historical RAW episodes starting January 2025, with a progressive expansion of its archive content. The platform confirmed all WWE programming will be included in standard Netflix subscriptions without additional fees.
