WWE canceled mega return for RAW on Netflix, original plans revealed

Becky Lynch’s anticipated return to WWE programming during RAW’s Netflix premiere did not materialize as originally planned. According to Bodyslam, Lynch was set to appear during the WWE Women’s World Championship match between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley, but The Undertaker took her spot instead.

The report revealed details about the last-minute change:

The initial from what I heard, Becky Lynch was scheduled to appear tonight. She was in town. She was scheduled to appear within that women’s world championship segment. But instead, you got an Undertaker appearance.

Lynch has been absent from WWE programming since her unsuccessful challenge against then-WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan on the May 27 edition of RAW. The Deadman appeared post-match, arriving on his motorcycle to celebrate with Ripley.

While fans await The Man’s return to the ring, Lynch has been expanding her acting portfolio. PWInsider reports that she has filmed a supporting role in Happy Gilmore 2, portraying a member of a rival golf team.

The Netflix-produced sequel, directed by Kyle Newacheck from a script by Adam Sandler and Tim Herlihy, features returning stars Sandler, Julie Bowen, and Christopher McDonald. The cast also includes new additions Travis Kelce, Bad Bunny, and AEW star MJF.
