WWE: Update on Roman Reigns vs. The Rock at WrestleMania 41
Roman Reigns shares thoughts on The Rock’s Ula Fala presentation and responds to rumors of a potential dream match at WWE RAW on Netflix.
Roman Reigns reflected on The Rock’s significant gesture during the WWE RAW on Netflix premiere, where the Hollywood star presented him with the Ula Fala following his victory over Solo Sikoa. The moment marked a powerful acknowledgment of their shared Samoan heritage.
Following the presentation, Reigns shared his perspective on representing their family legacy:
It’s a great honor, to be able to represent our family. Like he said, to be able to represent all the way from the very beginning to High Chief Peter Maivia, to my father Sika, my uncle Afa, to be able to showcase our legacy, put on our craft in front of the whole world, it’s all about this representation. That’s all I really want to do is just represent my family and just showcase our talents and just how good we are at this craft. Tonight was just another opportunity to go out there and do that. Who better to do that with than Dwayne?
When questioned about the possibility of a match against The Rock, Reigns maintained a strategic approach:
I don’t have to tease anything, you guys do it for us. We’re just gonna let the internet do its thing. That would just defeat the whole purpose of this. The internet won’t do its thing if I said yes or no, so we’ll see.
The Rock Set for NXT New Year’s Evil Appearance
Following his memorable appearance at the WWE RAW on Netflix premiere, The Rock has confirmed his next WWE appearance. The former WWE Champion will attend tomorrow night’s NXT New Year’s Evil at The Shrine in Los Angeles.
The event features two championship matches: Roxanne Perez defends the NXT Women’s Championship against Giulia, while Trick Williams puts the NXT Championship on the line in a three-way match against Oba Femi and Eddy Thorpe. The show holds additional significance as The Rock’s daughter, Simone Johnson, known on-screen as Ava, serves as NXT’s General Manager.
Earlier in the evening, The Rock opened RAW with positive remarks about both Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns before the Tribal Combat match. After Reigns secured his victory against Solo Sikoa, The Rock personally bestowed the Ula Fala upon him, formally recognizing his position as Tribal Chief.
