WWE: Seth Rollins just made big announcement about his future - "I’m no longer part of this"
Former WWE Champion reveals his part was removed during script rewrites and reshoots of the upcoming Marvel film.
Seth Rollins has addressed speculation about his involvement in Marvel’s “Captain America: Brave New World,” confirming he will not appear in the February 2025 release. During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Rollins explained that significant script changes affected his role in the project.
The WWE Superstar detailed the circumstances behind his departure from the film:
It releases in February. I wish it the best, but I am not a part of that film. Truth be told, any answer I gave would only be my opinion on it. The script went through a lot of rewrites and reshoots so what I was there to do, essentially my role got either repurposed or completely erased
Rollins emphasized his desire to prevent any misconceptions about his involvement, urging fans not to expect his appearance in the film. He noted that while he participated in additional auditions for a possible different role, the production ultimately went in another direction.
Post-Netflix RAW Plans Take Shape
Following his match against CM Punk at RAW’s Netflix premiere, Rollins’ path forward remains uncertain. While Punk appears positioned for a potential WrestleMania program, Rollins’ storyline direction is less defined after his previous feud with Bronson Reed was interrupted by Reed’s injury at Survivor Series.
Recent episodes have shown tension between Rollins and Drew McIntyre, though the Scottish warrior’s alliance with Kevin Owens may redirect that potential storyline. Additionally, Rollins’ interactions with Jey Uso have sparked speculation about future developments as WWE approaches the Royal Rumble event.
