WWE still undecided about Roman Reigns and The Rock’s participation at WrestleMania 41

The Rock returned on WWE RAW on Netflix on January 6, thanking the platform and Cody Rhodes for his work as Undisputed WWE Champion. On the same night, Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat, regaining his ula fala. After the match, Rock returned to present the Ula Fala to Reigns, leading fans to believe he wouldn’t participate in WrestleMania 41.

Dave Meltzer, from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, brought new information about the possibility of this match:

The idea of Rock vs. Reigns isn’t off the table and they could still go with it in the future, perhaps at WrestleMania. There’s also the possibility of another location, considering the values some places are paying wrestlers. It depends on him wanting to and having time to go through the training he considers necessary to prepare, considering his age, to perform the match.

Netflix censors profanity from WWE RAW premiere

WWE RAW premiered successfully on Netflix, surpassing Squid Game season two in viewership. However, the platform made content alterations after the live broadcast.

Commercial breaks were removed and profanity aired live was censored. The “Fuck You Solo” chants were replaced with crowd booing sounds. The opening segment with The Rock also underwent edits, with words like “bullshit” being silenced in the final version. Triple H commented on the situation:

The company doesn’t need to use that type of vocabulary to produce a great show. WWE and Netflix will evaluate this issue as time goes on.

WWE maintains its PG-TV rating, making a significant change unlikely, even with RAW leaving traditional TV.
