Jey Uso makes bold prediction for 2025
Jey Uso discusses his WWE championship aspirations and Anoa’i family heritage, while preparing for his World Heavyweight Championship match against Gunther.

Jey Uso revealed his plans to capture a world championship in 2025 during a recent interview with Netflix. The nine-time tag team champion reflected on his family’s influence in WWE while discussing his singles career aspirations.
Speaking about his heritage, Uso acknowledged the deep connection between WWE and the Anoa’i family tree.
I’m a second generation wrestler. I’m the son of Rikishi. I come from a long line of talented wrestlers. The Rock, Umaga, The Wild Samoans, Yokozuna. We’ve been in [the] game. In my eyes, my family helped build WWE to what it is today. I’m just trying to make my own footprint in the sand
After splitting from The Bloodline in mid-2023, Uso transitioned to RAW for a singles run. His journey included capturing the Intercontinental Championship for 27 days. Now, he prepares to challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25.
Uso shared his perspective on his recent career trajectory and future goals.
2024 [was] an awesome year for me. I ain’t ever think I’d reach heights the way I did [last] year. [But now] I’m going after the World Championship. I see that in my vision. I can be a WWE champion. Let’s show it in 2025
McIntyre’s Potential Impact on Championship Match
The upcoming World Heavyweight Championship match carries additional stakes due to Drew McIntyre’s recent campaign against former Bloodline members. McIntyre systematically targeted associates of the faction, including Sami Zayn and Jimmy Uso.
The Scottish Warrior’s pattern of interference suggests potential involvement in Uso’s title opportunity at Saturday Night’s Main Event. McIntyre’s mission to reach Roman Reigns through dismantling The Bloodline’s influence puts Uso’s championship aspirations at risk.
WWE announced that Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXVIII will also feature Bron Breakker defending the Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus.
