WWE 2K25 Intergender Matches Return Potentially Teased

WWE 2K25 promotional video hints at return of intergender matches, unseen in WWE games since 2009, with Rhea Ripley's teaser cut short.

WWE 2K25 Intergender Matches Return Potentially Teased

WWE/2K teased a potential major feature for WWE 2K25 during a recent promotional video. Rhea Ripley appeared in the video to promote the upcoming game, where she began discussing intergender matches before Dominik Mysterio interrupted her message.

The tease suggests the possible return of intergender matches to WWE video games, a feature absent since SmackDown vs. Raw 2009. The official description for WWE 2K25 mentions “game changing” additions to this year’s release.

The timing of this reveal coincides with recent WWE 2K25 teases on WWE programming. During the Raw Netflix premiere, Roman Reigns entered a locker room displaying the game’s logo during a backstage segment with Paul Heyman. Reigns indicated he would return to Raw on January 27, which many believe will include the official game announcement.

Vince Russo Criticizes Recent Rhea Ripley Championship Matches

Vince Russo shared his thoughts on Rhea Ripley’s recent Women’s World Championship matches against Liv Morgan during Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Writing With Russo. Russo addressed the matches following Ripley’s title defense against Morgan on January 6 at Raw on Netflix.

I hate the way they book her, man. She should not be going 50/50 with Liv Morgan. I’m sorry, man, Liv Morgan did great, great character work. She’s done a really, really good job, but when you look at the two of them in the ring, they should not be going 50/50. They just shouldn’t be.

Morgan previously challenged Ripley unsuccessfully at SummerSlam and Bad Blood in 2024.
