Triple H Makes Confession After WWE Royal Rumble 2025 – ‘I Was Trying to Hold It Together’
During the Royal Rumble post-show press conference, Triple H reflects on John Cena’s last Royal Rumble appearance and his ongoing pursuit of a 17th world championship.

While addressing the media at the Royal Rumble post-show press conference, Triple H shared a poignant perspective on John Cena’s final Royal Rumble appearance, where Cena entered at number 23 and advanced to the final two before being eliminated by Jey Uso.
John is one of the greatest performers to ever do this, but an even better person and businessman, and that’s a rarity, to have all those gifts and attributes. It dawned on me tonight when he walked into gorilla position before he walked out there that it’s the last time I’ll see John at a Royal Rumble. He said it here tonight. I was back there trying to hold my emotions together as he talked about it. I was there when he very first started.
Following his elimination, Cena announced his plans to pursue championship gold through a different avenue, declaring his entry into the upcoming Elimination Chamber match.
I am going to the Elimination Chamber to win, and I’m going to main event my final appearance at WrestleMania and win a 17th championship. Because that’s what’s best for business. I say that because it is not best for my ego, it is not best for my business. I have built my existence here off of hard work, loyalty to this company, and respect for all of its branches. I will win 17, not for me. I will win 17 to some day shake the hand of the person who wins 18.
Triple H Tells Fans to Cherish Every Moment
Triple H emphasized the significance of Cena’s farewell tour in WWE, stating:
I’m here when he’s getting to the end. But now the clock is ticking, and each time we see John, it’s one of the last times we see him in this ring. So for everybody that is out there watching like, cherish this, this next year, this run that John Cena is doing, the last time we just checked a box of the last time John Cena is in a Royal Rumble, cherish it.

John Cena Reacts for the First Time to His RAW Appearance
Following his heel turn promo on March 17 RAW where he “broke up” with WWE fans, John Cena posted a contextual Ross and Rachel image from Friends on Instagram.

John Cena has made his first social media post since delivering his verbal tirade against WWE fans on the March 17 episode of RAW. The post follows his first televised appearance since turning heel at Elimination Chamber 2025.
During the RAW opening segment, Cena announced he was breaking up with the WWE fanbase. The 16-time World Champion told the audience he was walking away from what he described as a “toxic” relationship with fans.
Following his appearance on RAW, Cena shared an image on his Instagram account featuring Ross and Rachel from the sitcom Friends. The photo appears to reference the relationship metaphor Cena used during his promo about ending his connection with fans.
Cody Rhodes interrupted Cena’s RAW segment, telling him to ensure the real John Cena shows up at WrestleMania 41. Rhodes called his rival a “whiny b*tch” during the confrontation.
Cena earned his WWE Championship match against Rhodes by winning the Elimination Chamber match on March 1. The two superstars will face each other at WrestleMania 41, scheduled for April 19-20, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
If Cena emerges victorious in this match, he will begin his 17th WWE world title reign, breaking the recognized record of 16 reigns currently shared by both Cena and Ric Flair.

Cody Rhodes Teases Major Announcement After RAW Goes Off Air
Cody Rhodes continued his winning streak against Dominik Mysterio with his 18th consecutive victory in a dark match following WWE RAW in Brussels.

Cody Rhodes competed in a dark match after WWE RAW went off the air in Brussels, extending his dominant record against Dominik Mysterio. The American Nightmare secured his 18th consecutive victory over The Judgment Day member in the post-broadcast contest.
Rhodes had earlier appeared on the televised portion of RAW where he confronted John Cena. During this segment, Rhodes delivered a clear message to Cena, stating he wanted to face the original version of Cena at WrestleMania 41, not the bitter, broken persona Cena has recently adopted.
The Brussels crowd strongly supported Rhodes during his confrontation with Cena, creating one of the most one-sided crowd reactions in recent memory. Fans continued their enthusiastic support during the dark match that followed the broadcast.
After defeating Dominik, Rhodes took time to interact with the audience. He told the Brussels crowd that the possibility of Belgium hosting a WWE premium live event depended entirely on them, saying, “It’s all on you.”
During the televised portion of RAW, Dominik Mysterio had his own storyline developments. He proposed adding Penta to The Judgment Day faction, but Finn Balor immediately rejected the suggestion.

WWE Reportedly Removes Top Star from John Cena and Cody Rhodes Feud
Reports indicate WWE plans to keep Travis Scott involved in the John Cena and Cody Rhodes storyline despite controversy following the Elimination Chamber incident.

WWE reportedly has no plans to remove Travis Scott from John Cena’s ongoing storyline with Cody Rhodes, despite recent controversy surrounding the rapper’s involvement at Elimination Chamber 2025.
Scott became the center of attention after allegedly injuring the Undisputed WWE Champion at Elimination Chamber. According to reports, Rhodes was left with a busted eardrum and a black eye following an incident involving the popular rapper.
Fightful Select reports that Scott does not have backstage heat within WWE despite what transpired. The report indicates that while his involvement in the current storyline may not be frequent, WWE plans to bring him back occasionally.
Scott could appear alongside The Rock whenever the latter makes his presence felt in WWE. The storyline involving Cena and Rhodes began at Elimination Chamber 2025 when Rhodes refused to become The Rock’s corporate champion.
The rapper is also expected to undergo additional in-ring training sessions ahead of WrestleMania 41. Based on these reports, Scott might get physically involved in the rivalry between Cena and Rhodes leading up to the premium live event.
WWE continues to develop the storyline between Cena and Rhodes with WrestleMania 41 scheduled to take place in a few weeks.
