According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Rock’s status for WWE WrestleMania 41 initially surfaced in October 2024, indicating he would not be available for the premium live event.
During a recent Wrestling Observer Radio discussion, Meltzer addressed The Rock’s reaction to these reports.
It would have been November, December when all of sudden everyone started reporting it (Rock’s WrestleMania 41 status). I kind of heard, ‘Oh my god Dwayne’s mad that everyone’s reporting it and he doesn’t want this out’. One person said ‘I bet he does the show now’, just because he’s so mad that everyone’s reporting it.
The Rock appeared during WWE Bad Blood’s closing moments on October 5, 2024. More recently, he made an appearance on the WWE Raw on Netflix premiere on January 6, 2025, where he presented the ceremonial Ula Fala to Roman Reigns following Reigns’ victory over Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat.
