Keith Lee has corrected reports regarding his recent backstage appearances at AEW events. Following his scheduled match against Swerve Strickland at Worlds End being called off due to injury in December 2023, Lee has been absent from AEW programming.
Initial reports placed Lee backstage at Dynamite on February 5th in Athens, Georgia. Lee took to social media to address this information.
For the record…. this isn’t true. I was at Collision in Houston. But I was at the Dynamite in Austin briefly. I do live in Texas after all. Good day.

Lee’s last in-ring appearance came before Worlds End, where he was scheduled to face Swerve Strickland before the match was canceled. Prior to the cancellation, Lee revealed he had been competing while injured for more than a year.
In January 2024, Lee underwent double surgeries, marking his first surgical procedures in 19 years.
