Jack Perry has remained absent from AEW television since his TNT Championship loss to Daniel Garcia at Full Gear. During a recent appearance on The Hump, Sean Ross Sapp discussed the original creative plans for Perry’s return to AEW programming.
He was in consideration for Kenny’s return feud, but it was scrapped and changed, and they went in a different direction. I haven’t heard anything about him lately, but he was planned for that Omega stuff.
Kenny Omega ultimately began feuding with The Don Callis Family upon his return to AEW television. This storyline continues as Omega prepares to team with Will Ospreay against Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita at AEW Grand Slam: Australia.
Perry’s most recent wrestling appearance took place at Wrestle Dynasty, where he challenged Yota Tsuji for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship.
