The cross-promotion between WWE and TNA continues as NXT Champion Oba Femi made a surprise appearance on the February 20th episode of TNA iMPACT! Live, coming to the aid of The Hardys and Leon Slater.
Femi’s shocking arrival came at a crucial moment during the broadcast. After Leon Slater lost to JDC in a No Disqualification match, The System (Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, and JDC) launched a post-match assault. Matt and Jeff Hardy attempted to even the odds but found themselves outnumbered until the NXT Champion stormed the ring.
The powerful Femi turned the tide against The System, forcing the group’s leader Moose to abandon his teammates and retreat. This confrontation wasn’t entirely unexpected, as Femi and TNA X-Division Champion Moose had already crossed paths on Tuesday’s NXT.
