Matt Riddle shared insights about his ongoing relationship with Randy Orton during a recent appearance on Stories With Brisco And Bradshaw. The former WWE superstar addressed the current status of his friendship with Orton, who has been absent from WWE programming since November 2024.
The conversation revealed that despite their different career paths, the bond formed during their successful tag team run continues. Riddle spoke positively about their communication, though noting the challenges of maintaining frequent contact given their busy schedules.
I wrestle with a lot of friends and colleagues that I get along with, but for some reason when we—backstage, on stage, hanging out with amigos, we had a vibe. It’s a thing, you know. And you know, I still keep in touch with Randy. Not as much as either one of us probably would like to, because he and I have got a lot going on. But I know he’s doing good.
Riddle reflected on his time in RK-Bro, describing the partnership as particularly meaningful in his wrestling career. The duo captured the RAW Tag Team Championship twice during their 2021-2022 run, establishing themselves as one of WWE’s most popular tag teams through their contrasting personalities and entertaining dynamic.
The interview also touched on the evolution of their relationship, with Riddle acknowledging they overcame initial challenges to develop a strong partnership. Riddle, who was released from WWE in September 2023, expressed interest in potentially returning to the company at some point in the future.
Orton has remained absent from WWE programming since November, with no official timeline for his return currently established.
