WWE announced WrestleMania 42 will take place at the Superdome in New Orleans, LA. in 2026. The Rock delivered this announcement during SmackDown, making his entrance with a remixed version of his theme song that incorporated Lil Wayne’s music as a nod to the New Orleans crowd.

WWE will hold a press conference after SmackDown to provide additional details about WrestleMania 42.

During the same SmackDown, The Rock addressed the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, proposing that Rhodes become “The Rock’s champion.” The board member described potential opportunities for Rhodes and the future generations of his family.

The Rock stated he did not require an immediate response from Rhodes. Instead, he announced his appearance at Elimination Chamber in Toronto on March 1, where Rhodes can deliver his answer.
