Kevin Nash shared his perspective regarding the timing of a potential Drew McIntyre vs. LA Knight match at WrestleMania 41. On Kliq This, Nash addressed the speculation surrounding the two competitors following their Royal Rumble interaction.
There was a clip that went around on Instagram—it was a house show and it looked like it got stiff. Or maybe it was SmackDown. It looked like Drew [McIntyre] got stiff with LA Knight and LA Knight shot back a little bit and they did business. If it’s a shoot, it doesn’t get past the night it went down. […] It’s too late. They already did. They just did it. I watched it. They each got a receipt and then they did business. It’s done.
Initial plans reportedly positioned McIntyre against Damian Priest at WrestleMania following their Royal Rumble confrontation. However, WWE adjusted course after receiving negative fan feedback to the potential matchup.
The path to WrestleMania remains unclear for McIntyre, who displayed frustration after Priest eliminated him from the 2025 Royal Rumble match. Reports indicate that the tension between McIntyre and LA Knight extended beyond their on-screen interactions, leading to social media exchanges between both competitors.
