WWE announced on the February 24 episode of RAW that Rey Mysterio will be out of action indefinitely. The WWE Hall of Famer suffered injuries during a post-match attack by The New Day on the February 10 broadcast, following his Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match loss to Logan Paul.
The broadcast team shared this injury update prior to a tag team match featuring The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) against LWO members Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro. Kingston and Woods secured a victory over the LWO representatives.

Following their win, The New Day continued their aggressive behavior with a post-match assault on Wilde and Cruz. When Dragon Lee attempted to come to his teammates’ aid, Kingston and Woods quickly overwhelmed him, laying out all three LWO members.
The attack on Rey Mysterio on February 10 marked the beginning of The New Day’s hostile actions against the LWO, with their aggression now extending to multiple members of the faction.
Mysterio has not appeared on WWE programming since suffering the attack.
