Russo pointed to the absence of John Cena and Roman Reigns from recent WWE television, including this week’s episode of RAW. Both superstars last appeared at Royal Rumble 2025, where they competed in the men’s 30-participant match but failed to secure the victory.
During the discussion, Russo connected the absence of these top stars to what he perceives as creative struggles in WWE’s current storytelling. He specifically referenced The Rock’s ongoing storyline as an attempt to compensate for the missing star power.
