Liv Morgan apparently sustained a legitimate injury during this week’s Raw when she teamed with Raquel Rodriguez to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship from Bianca Belair and Naomi. Former WWE star Stevie Richards identified the specific moment when the injury occurred.
The championship match featured strong performances from both teams, with Morgan and Rodriguez ultimately securing the victory. However, during a post-match analysis on The Stevie Richards Show, the hosts spotted what appears to be an unplanned facial impact.
Richards’ co-host Jamie first identified the moment when Naomi accidentally made contact with Morgan’s face during the match. The incident caught their attention as it appeared to be more than a standard worked spot.
That looked like it caught her as well. I don’t know if you want to replay that and zoom in, but I thought she really got that right in the face.
Richards then examined the footage in slow motion, confirming his co-host’s observation about the legitimate contact.
Yeah, she got her. Yeah. Is that the thumbnail? That will get me in trouble.
Despite the apparent facial impact, Morgan continued the match, which culminated in her team capturing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. The title change occurred following interference from Dominik Mysterio, who provided the distraction that allowed Morgan and Rodriguez to secure the victory.
WWE has not yet issued any statement regarding Morgan’s status following the match.
