WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will defend her flawless tag team record in her hometown when she competes at Elimination Chamber on March 1. The Canadian wrestling icon confirmed her participation in the premium live event during a segment on SmackDown with Wade Barrett last week.
During this same show, a match for the WWE Women’s Championship between Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax ended in disqualification after Candice LeRae interfered. Following the match, Jax and LeRae continued their attack on Stratton until Stratus ran to the ring to help the champion. Despite her intervention, Stratus was also overpowered by the two attackers.
Backstage, Stratus announced she would team with Stratton at Elimination Chamber to face Jax and LeRae in a tag team match. This partnership puts Stratus’ perfect tag team record in Canada at risk.
According to data shared by WWEStats on social media, Stratus has never lost a traditional 2-on-2 tag team match in her home country. Throughout her career, she has teamed with various partners including Lita, Spike Dudley, John Cena, and Steve Blackman while maintaining this streak.
Stratus last performed in Toronto at SummerSlam 2019, where she suffered a singles match defeat against Charlotte Flair, who went on to win the 2025 Royal Rumble. The upcoming tag match marks her return to in-ring competition following her appearance in the 2025 Royal Rumble match earlier this year.
