WWE Champion Returns Doomsault Move After 11-Month Absence

A current WWE champion attempted to bring back a dangerous aerial maneuver during Monday Night RAW. Ivar of The War Raiders shared his excitement about reintroducing his signature move after nearly a year.

The World Tag Team Championship match on the March 3 edition of RAW featured The War Raiders defending their titles against American Made’s Creed Brothers. During the competitive contest, Ivar attempted his signature “Doomsault” move.

While his opponent managed to evade the aerial attack, Ivar took to social media after the match to express his feelings about performing the maneuver again.

May Have missed, but damn, 1st time Doomsaulting in almost 11 months and it felt good to be in the air.

The 41-year-old veteran suffered a neck injury in April 2024 that sidelined him for most of the year. The injury prevented him from executing his high-risk aerial moves during this period.

Ivar made his return to WWE programming in October 2024, reuniting with his War Raiders partner Erik. The team has since recaptured the World Tag Team Championships.

Despite missing the Doomsault in this particular match, Ivar and Erik successfully retained their titles against The Creed Brothers in what was described as a hard-fought back-and-forth contest.

The return of Ivar’s aerial arsenal adds another dimension to The War Raiders’ in-ring capabilities as they continue their championship reign on Monday Night RAW.
