CM Punk addressed Monday’s physical confrontation with Seth Rollins through a series of posts on his Instagram Story. The Second City Saint shared multiple photos documenting their intense brawl that opened the latest episode of RAW.
The altercation began during Punk’s in-ring promo where he initially expressed frustrations regarding The Rock and John Cena. Rollins interrupted the segment, prompting Punk to immediately attack him on the entrance ramp.
The two competitors fought throughout the arena and backstage area before RAW general manager Adam Pearce intervened to stop the brawl. Security personnel also assisted in separating the heated rivals.
Following the chaotic incident, Pearce announced a steel cage match between CM Punk and Seth Rollins. The high-stakes contest is scheduled for next week’s RAW at Madison Square Garden.
In his Instagram Story posts, Punk included several images from their confrontation. He also posed a question to his followers, asking if they preferred a wrestling or hardcore style show.
Punk answered his own question with a simple “YES,” suggesting fans can expect elements of both styles in their upcoming cage match.
The rivalry between the two wrestlers has intensified since Punk defeated Rollins on RAW’s Netflix debut. Despite this victory, Rollins has maintained his grudge against Punk.
Rollins recently cost Punk a potential victory at Elimination Chamber, demonstrating their feud remains active. This interference has further escalated tensions heading into their steel cage confrontation.
The steel cage stipulation ensures neither competitor can easily escape their upcoming match, which takes place at the historic Madison Square Garden venue in New York City.
