Major Update on Cody Rhodes’ Injury

"83 Weeks" podcast host Conrad Thompson reveals Cody Rhodes told him Travis Scott did not make contact at WWE Elimination Chamber despite visible bruising.

Major Update on Cody Rhodes’ Injury

Conrad Thompson disclosed a direct message from Cody Rhodes regarding the reported injury at WWE Elimination Chamber: Toronto during a recent edition of the “83 Weeks” podcast.

Earlier reports indicated Rhodes had sustained a black eye and ruptured eardrum after an incident involving Travis Scott during the premium live event.

Thompson shared details of his conversation with Rhodes about the supposed injury.

I saw the report earlier this week, I checked on Cody and I was like, ‘Dude, I saw it, but a burst eardrum? Are you okay, holy s*it.’ He replied, ‘Didn’t touch me, I got a wild bruise somehow though’ and sent me a picture. I said, ‘Well damn, I’m glad you’re okay mostly.’ He jokingly said, ‘The horsemen got me.’

Thompson noted the discrepancy between Rhodes’ message and the visual evidence, as Rhodes is currently sporting a noticeable black eye.

I just thought it was funny that Cody even now is like, ‘Ah, he didn’t touch me.’ Now of course we know, that’s not the case, he’s sporting a major black eye right now. I don’t know if it’s true or not that he burst his ear drum but buddy, it is a brutal blow that we saw there.

The conversation took place after initial reports from eWn claimed that Rhodes had been legitimately struck in the head by Scott during the event.
