Swerve Strickland defeated Ricochet in a #1 Contender’s Match for the AEW World Championship at Revolution 2025. Following his victory, Strickland confronted AEW World Champion Jon Moxley after the show.
During the post-show press conference, Strickland disclosed that he suffered a ruptured eardrum during the match against Ricochet.
With this victory, Strickland has earned a championship opportunity against Moxley.
The title match is expected to take place at AEW Dynasty on April 6.
