Bianca Belair has secured her championship opportunity against Iyo Sky at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas on April 19-20. While Belair focuses on her title match, her complex relationships with former tag team partners Naomi and Jade Cargill continue to develop.
WWE analyst Sam Roberts believes Belair might face additional challenges beyond her championship match at WrestleMania 41. During an episode of Notsam Wrestling, Roberts suggested that Cargill could potentially cost Belair her match against Iyo Sky, possibly leading to a brand switch for Belair.
There is something about Bianca Belair that is—even though she has this superhuman ability, she just comes across as a genuine person that people love. It would be difficult for me to justify why you would make her a villain. I feel like seeing Jade do something sneaky to beat Naomi and then have a slow heel turn. You could say Jade is justified in her feelings because she was put on the shelf, right? But I feel like that anger, that lust for revenge, you could twist that.
The developing storyline stems from Naomi’s recent revelation on SmackDown that she was responsible for the attack on Cargill last November. This admission left Belair visibly upset as she was caught between her relationships with both women.
The confrontation between Belair, Naomi, and Cargill has been building since Cargill’s return at Elimination Chamber, where she attacked Naomi inside the chamber structure. After winning the Women’s Elimination Chamber match, Belair confronted Naomi on SmackDown seeking answers, leading to Naomi’s heel turn.
A potential match between Belair and Cargill has been anticipated since Cargill joined WWE in fall 2023, with this current storyline potentially setting the stage for that confrontation later this year.
