WWE Announces Major Change to WrestleMania 41 Championship Match
WWE adds Rhea Ripley to Women’s World Championship match, creating a triple threat with IYO SKY and Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41.

WWE has altered plans for one of the championship matches at the upcoming WrestleMania 41. What was previously announced as a singles match for the Women’s World Championship will now feature a third competitor, significantly changing the dynamic of this title bout on wrestling’s biggest stage.
Raw General Manager Adam Pearce made the announcement during the April 7 episode of Raw from the Target Center in Minneapolis. Standing in the ring beside the championship belt, Pearce revealed that Rhea Ripley would join IYO SKY and Bianca Belair in a triple threat match for the Women’s World Championship. The three competitors were present in the ring when the official change was declared, transforming what was originally scheduled as a one-on-one title match between SKY and Belair.
The triple threat format creates a different scenario where all three superstars will square off simultaneously. Under these rules, the first competitor to secure a pinfall or submission on either opponent will claim the championship, with no disqualifications in this type of contest.
WrestleMania 41 is set to take place across two nights on April 19 and 20 in Las Vegas, Nevada. As WWE’s premier Premium Live Event of the year, the show typically features the company’s most significant championship matches and culmination of major storylines.
