Dominik Mysterio expressed deep appreciation for recent praise from John Cena during an appearance on “The Wrestling Classic on Casual Conversations.” Mysterio highlighted Cena’s stature, calling his words “really special.”
The commendation followed WrestleMania 41, where Mysterio captured the WWE Intercontinental Title. John Cena, who became Undisputed WWE Champion at the same event, had stated Mysterio makes things “effortless.”
Mysterio recalled Cena’s early career support, saying, “He was the guy that was there for me with the tag matches and giving me advice.” He noted Cena witnessed his evolution, from teaming as babyfaces to Mysterio becoming a “bad guy.”
Acknowledging Cena’s global status, Mysterio admitted, “I was a Cena mark,” and loved the “Dr. of Thuganomics.” He found it “really cool to see” such commendation from someone he has known since childhood and professionally respects.
