The Stretcher Match was an intense contest, with Mark Briscoe appearing to have the advantage at several junctures. The physicality of the bout was underscored by notable moments such as Ricochet delivering a Shooting Star Press onto a stretcher and Briscoe executing his ‘Froggy Bow’ maneuver through a table.

The match reached its conclusion when Ricochet employed a low blow against Mark Briscoe, followed by his ‘Spirit Gun’ signature. These actions enabled Ricochet to place Briscoe onto the stretcher and push him into the waiting ambulance, closing the doors to fulfill the victory conditions.

This victory in AEW’s inaugural Stretcher Match not only marks Ricochet’s first win on an AEW pay-per-view but also serves to elevate his standing as a contender within the promotion. Despite the loss, Mark Briscoe’s resilience throughout the demanding match was also evident.
