This occurred even as Dominik Mysterio was seen wearing a Carlito shirt on the same broadcast. WrestleVotes stated:
Yeah, so we’ve seen it in the past where guys get hurt, people move on, you see one of their shirts snuck in. That happened last night with Carlito — Dominik Mysterio had a Carlito shirt on TV. But they didn’t want any R-Truth shirts being worn by talent on Monday Night RAW.
The sentiment from attendees at WWE events has been noticeably in favor of R-Truth. Chants of “We want Truth” were audible during the June 2 WWE RAW and reportedly surfaced again during the June 3 NXT taping.
Adding to the situation, R-Truth’s popular “Ron Cena” t-shirt, previously a strong seller for WWE, was removed from the company’s online shop. There has been no official statement from WWE explaining these merchandising decisions or the reported directive concerning talent apparel.
