WWE RAW Sets Attendance Record

WWE confirmed its May 20 broadcast of RAW in Columbus, Ohio set a new attendance record for the city. The company reported a sold-out crowd of 13,433 at Nationwide Arena through an official graphic posted on social media.

The figure represents a significant increase from previous WWE events at the venue. November 2023’s SmackDown drew 7,805 attendees, while September 2021’s Extreme Rules attracted approximately 9,500 fans. Other recent shows in February 2022 and December 2022 drew roughly 7,300 and 6,459 spectators respectively.

This record-setting episode served as the final broadcast before Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. The card featured King and Queen of the Ring semifinal matches, with Cody Rhodes defeating Jey Uso and Jade Cargill besting Roxanne Perez to advance to their respective finals.

Becky Lynch retained her Intercontinental Championship against Bayley via disqualification during the show. The broadcast opened with a segment featuring Paul Heyman and associates building anticipation for the upcoming Saudi Arabia event.

Following Night of Champions, WWE will return to the U.S. for a double taping in Pittsburgh featuring both RAW and SmackDown episodes.
