Chelsea Green Shares Top WWE Goal After Losing Women’s United States Championship

In a recent discussion on the Lightweights Podcast, Chelsea Green outlined her career goals within WWE and beyond, expressing a unique desire to make history in an unconventional way.

While a world title win is a goal, Green noted the immense pressure that comes with it. Instead, she presented an alternative path to cementing her legacy.

“I would love to win the world title, but heavy is the head that wears the crown,” Green said. “The women who win the title, that’s a lot of pressure on them. Unfortunately with wrestling, you get to the top, and then people love to tear you down. It’s a slippery slope to fall down. When they tear you down, they really rip you to shreds. I’m okay just like being somewhere right here [in the middle] and kind of just being loved because I’ve been there, I’ve been hated, the fall from grace was really rough, and I’ve been cancelled.”

“I love the [world] title, but I always thought I could be the first woman to win the Money in the Bank and lose the cash in. I always thought that would be kind of iconic. They need that moment,” she added.

Green competed in the 2024 Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, which was ultimately won by Tiffany Stratton.

Beyond the squared circle, Green has her sights set on Hollywood, aiming to become a significant crossover talent for female wrestlers, following in the footsteps of stars like John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. She expressed interest in roles that would challenge her beyond comedy, citing series like “White Lotus” and “Wednesday” as projects she admires.

“I loved the acting in Dynasty. I thought it was so good and it was very unrealistic, but they made it real,” Green explained. “Now, [I’d like to make a cameo in] maybe like White Lotus … something that would push me outside of the comedy realm… God, if there was another season of You, I would love to be a murder victim in You. I would love to be a murder victim in anything really, Wednesday, the new Euphoria.”

Green believes a major female crossover star from wrestling to acting has yet to emerge, a role she intends to fill herself within the next five years.

“I don’t need to be that high, that’s pretty incredible, but I would like to be the crossover talent for the females,” she stated.

Her ambitions are backed by a new multi-year contract with WWE, signed in May. Despite suffering a broken nose during a match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24, Green has continued to appear on television, underscoring her commitment as she plans her future endeavors.
