With the historic all-women’s Evolution 2 premium live event set for July 13 in Atlanta, Georgia, WWE has begun its promotional push by releasing the first official event poster. The graphic, however, has already generated discussion for the notable absence of several key performers.
Triple H revealed the poster on social media, framing the event as a tribute to the past and a showcase for the future.
“Honoring the trailblazers and inspiring the next generation. #WWEEvolution streams live from Atlanta’s @StateFarmArena July 13 at 7pm. @peacock @netflix.”
The poster features a collection of top stars from across WWE’s brands, including Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, and Bianca Belair. Despite the star power on display, the decision to omit talents like Asuka, Stephanie Vaquer, and the reigning WWE Women’s United States Champion, Giulia, has been a point of surprise.
The exclusions are particularly puzzling given the confirmed high-stakes matches already announced for the event. Ripley is scheduled to challenge IYO SKY for the Women’s World Championship, while Lynch is in a triple threat match for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. The card will also feature WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton defending her title against WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.
While the event is expected to feature a larger card than typical premium live events, with reports suggesting seven to eight matches, no official reason has been given for the omissions. It remains to be seen if the absent stars will ultimately have a role at the July 13 spectacle.
