With less than a week remaining until the all-women’s Evolution premium live event, 2025 WWE Hall of Famer Michelle McCool has confirmed she has not been contacted for an appearance. The clarification came directly from the first-ever Divas Champion in response to fan discussion on social media.
The conversation began when a fan on X suggested that McCool and Kelly Kelly should “pick up the phone” to secure a spot on the card, which is scheduled for July 13 in Atlanta, Georgia.
“Hasn’t rang!” McCool stated in a direct reply.
The statement is notable given McCool’s history with major milestones in WWE’s women’s division. She was a participant in the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match in 2018 and also competed in a Battle Royal at the inaugural Evolution later that year. Despite previously stating in an interview that she was just “a phone call away” for a return, no invitation has been extended for the second iteration of the event.
This year’s Evolution will feature another Battle Royal, with the winner earning a world championship opportunity at Clash in Paris on August 31. The card also includes high-profile championship matches, such as Tiffany Stratton defending the WWE Women’s Championship against Trish Stratus and a Women’s World Championship bout between IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley.
While other legends like Alundra Blayze have also publicly expressed a desire to participate, McCool’s update clarifies her status is not a matter of choice but of not receiving an offer. She currently serves as a coach alongside her husband, The Undertaker, on the A&E series WWE LFG.
