Becky Lynch Announced for New Project Outside of WWE

WWE Superstar Becky Lynch continues her expansion into Hollywood, securing a co-starring role in the new FX workplace comedy pilot, “Movers.” The project, created by and starring “Reno 911!” alumni Robert Ben Garant and Cathy Shim, is an improvised comedy centered on a moving crew. Lynch joins a cast that includes Manny Montana, Maz Jobrani, Darius Homayoun, and stand-up comic Tanael “TJ” Joachim.

This casting is the latest in a series of major roles for Lynch, who is also set to appear in the Netflix film “Happy Gilmore 2” on July 25 and has a reported role in the upcoming Paramount+ series “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.” Her 2024 memoir also became a New York Times bestseller, cementing her status as a legitimate crossover star.

While her acting career flourishes, Lynch remains a central figure on WWE programming. She is scheduled to defend her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship in a high-stakes Triple Threat match at the Evolution premium live event on July 13. The match, which also features Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, was confirmed after a number one contender’s match between her two challengers on the July 7 episode of WWE RAW ended in a draw.

Her current championship reign is the culmination of a significant 2025 run. After a year-long absence due to a skin condition and acting commitments, Lynch returned at WrestleMania 41 in April, where she and Valkyria won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. A short time later, Lynch turned on Valkyria, leading to their title match at Money in the Bank in June, where Lynch captured the newly established Women’s Intercontinental Title.

Despite her villainous on-screen persona, Lynch recently made headlines for an act of kindness. A video captured before a recent WWE RAW event showed Lynch breaking character to assist a disabled fan who had fallen from her wheelchair, showcasing a compassionate side that contrasts with her current storyline direction. It is unclear how a potential series pickup for “Movers” would affect her full-time WWE schedule, but Lynch is currently navigating both worlds at the highest level.
