Michelle McCool Reveals Serious Issues Stemming From Marriage to The Undertaker

During a recent appearance on the Six Feet Under podcast, former WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool opened up about a disturbing and dangerous aspect of her life with her husband, The Undertaker.

McCool revealed she has been the target of death threats from obsessive fans who harbor delusions about their own relationship with the wrestling icon.

“People believe they’re really married to him and they hated me and given me lots of death threats because I’m married to him. I’m like, guys…”

This revelation comes during a particularly challenging period for the couple. In April 2025, just after WrestleMania 41, The Undertaker underwent emergency heart surgery. He has publicly credited McCool for saving his life by insisting he seek immediate medical help during the major health scare.

The threats from fans represent another chapter in the difficulties McCool has faced due to her relationship. She has previously acknowledged that backstage tension over her dating Mark Calaway was a factor in her decision to step away from WWE, a point that remains a source of frustration given her own accomplishments in the industry.

Despite retiring from the ring, The Undertaker remains a prominent figure. He continues his podcast and recently expressed interest in taking on a creative role within WWE, a move that would keep him connected to the audience.

The couple’s enduring relationship has weathered numerous challenges, from internal industry politics to the alarming and real-life dangers posed by the darkest corners of fan obsession.
