WWE Announces Major Title Match for Saturday Night’s Main Event

The familial conflict within The Bloodline has officially become a championship issue. On the morning of July 10, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced via social media that Solo Sikoa will defend the United States Championship against his brother, Jimmy Uso. The title match is now scheduled for this Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta.

This championship bout comes as a direct result of rapidly intensifying hostilities. On last week’s episode of SmackDown, Jimmy Uso and his ally Jacob Fatu defeated Sikoa and JC Mateo in a tag team match, a contest that ended with Fatu securing a clean pinfall over the champion.

The victory celebration was cut short by a post-match ambush, as Sikoa, Mateo, Talla Tonga, and Tanga Loa brutally attacked Uso and Fatu, closing the show by standing over their fallen relatives.

The defense will be Sikoa’s first since he captured the United States Championship, his first title on the main roster. He won the belt from Jacob Fatu at Night of Champions on June 28, a victory that required a decisive assist from the debuting Talla Tonga, formerly known as Hikuleo. That event was a key moment in the expansion of Sikoa’s own faction.

Following his split from Roman Reigns, Sikoa has rebranded his new group as “MFT” (My Family Tree), signaling a new era of leadership. The title match against Jimmy Uso now represents a critical test for Sikoa as he attempts to solidify his reign and his control over the family, while Uso seeks to reclaim his standing within the fractured dynasty.
