TNA May Have Signed Controversial Former WWE Superstar

A familiar and polarizing personality has resurfaced in major professional wrestling. During the July 10 episode of TNA iMPACT, former WWE star Enzo Amore appeared in a surreal vignette, marking his return to television after a notable absence.

The segment, presented as a paid advertisement by Westside Gunn’s Fourth Rope Wrestling promotion, began with Amore delivering his signature catchphrase: “…and you can’t teach that.” In a rambling and intense promo, he directly referenced his infamous disruption of a WWE pay-per-view from the crowd at Madison Square Garden following his release from the company.

“You remember what I did at the Garden… don’t think I won’t do it again.”

The cryptic appearance was followed by another commercial during the broadcast, this time teasing a potential appearance at the Slammiversary pay-per-view. The event is scheduled for July 20 at the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York, which Amore referred to as his “backyard,” telling TNA to be ready for him.

Amore’s career has been defined by both immense popularity and significant controversy. He and Big Cass became one of WWE’s most prominent tag teams without ever holding championship gold. After their split, Amore transitioned to the cruiserweight division, where he became a two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion. His WWE tenure came to an abrupt end in January 2018 amid allegations, and he was released from his contract.

Since his WWE departure, Amore, performing as Real1, has been active on the independent circuit and had brief runs in MLW. Despite his renewed presence on a major platform, he has recently stated he has no interest in returning to WWE and is content with his work for Fourth Rope Wrestling, where he is the current Flyweight Champion. The return to a national spotlight has elicited mixed reactions, with fans and commentators acknowledging both the energy he brings and the controversy that has followed his career.
