The deeply personal rivalry between Naomi and Jade Cargill has intensified just days before their scheduled match, with Naomi issuing a series of direct threats on social media. The conflict between the two SmackDown stars is set to culminate in a No Holds Barred match this Sunday at Evolution.
On July 10, Naomi took to X to warn Cargill after hearing reports of her rival discussing her on Atlanta radio and news outlets.
“I’ve been getting calls since yesterday from my folks in Atlanta telling me that Jade was talking about me on the radio and news. It’s on sight when I see you @Jade_Cargill,” Naomi wrote.
The following day, she continued her campaign of intimidation, posting a picture of herself and suggesting a significant plan was in motion for their match.
“.@Jade_Cargill I’m working on a BIG surprise for you,” Naomi stated.
These online threats follow a physical altercation on the July 4 edition of SmackDown. During the show, Naomi executed a backstage attack on Cargill, which prompted Cargill to demand a match from General Manager Nick Aldis. Aldis sanctioned the bout for Evolution, adding the No Holds Barred stipulation to reflect the escalating violence.
This feud stretches back to late 2024, when an unknown assailant attacked Cargill. The mystery was solved at Elimination Chamber in March, where Naomi was revealed as the perpetrator. Cargill seemingly settled the score with a decisive victory over Naomi at WrestleMania 41.
However, with both competitors remaining on SmackDown, their paths have continued to cross. The stakes have only grown, as Naomi recently won the Money in the Bank contract, while Cargill secured the Queen of the Ring crown, granting her a WWE Women’s Championship match at SummerSlam.
Their No Holds Barred match is part of the all-women’s Evolution premium live event, scheduled to stream live this Sunday, July 13, at 7 p.m. ET on Peacock in the United States and on Netflix internationally.
