Two new patches for WWE 2K25 have been deployed by 2K, but the most recent update has introduced a significant bug affecting the creation suite. While the patches aimed to deliver multiple improvements and new content, players quickly discovered that custom logos on created wrestlers and edited superstars were no longer functioning correctly after installing patch 1.18.
Following a wave of complaints from the community, the issue was officially acknowledged by the development team.
“We are investigating reports of missing custom images after the latest patch (1.18) and we’ll provide an update shortly on a resolution. Thank you for your patience,” the WWE Games social media account stated.
The primary problem introduced by patch 1.18 involves the game’s popular creation suite. Custom images, such as logos and tattoos, are reportedly disappearing from created superstar models. Some players have noted their fully tattooed characters are now blank, while community creators have demonstrated the bug’s impact online.
Despite the critical issue, the update also brought a major content addition with the Wyatt Sicks Quest Expansion. This new, free chapter for the “The Island” mode is accessible through the cemetery in “The Deadlands” and allows players to earn exclusive rewards, including new Create-A-Superstar parts.
The updates also successfully addressed several previously reported concerns. Patch 1.18 fixed an issue with the incorrect championship appearing on nameplates for the Undisputed WWE Championship and resolved a bug where some creation parts were incorrectly marked as DLC.
The earlier patch, 1.17, was a smaller update that corrected a glitch where superstars would fly out of bounds when using the steel steps as a prop. It also fixed a display timer in “The Island” mode and restored the Elite Cody Rhodes character for players who had unlocked him in MyFACTION but found him missing from the roster. However, some users had reported that even the 1.17 update led to new stability problems, including game crashes in Universe mode.
