Braun Strowman Announced for Major Hollywood Project

Former WWE superstar Braun Strowman, real name Adam Scherr, is making a significant move into Hollywood, landing the starring role in a new live-action film franchise. The project is a co-production between Seven Arts Entertainment and Crusher Films, a company headed by producer Max Zell.

This career development comes just months after Scherr’s departure from WWE in May 2025, which marked the end of his second tenure with the company. His release was part of a larger talent cut and followed a period where he was recovering from significant physical issues, including a serious spinal injury and partial paralysis in his left leg.

While specific details about the film franchise are currently protected by a non-disclosure agreement, the production companies intend to film a sequel simultaneously and develop a range of licensable properties, including video games and action figures. Crusher Films has begun a fundraising effort of up to $50 million for the project. Seven Arts will contribute by providing access to locations in the Atlanta area, personnel, and Georgia’s film industry tax credits, in addition to developing a soundtrack.

“We’re extremely excited to be working with Seven Arts on a project that we believe will be wildly successful and take the film industry by storm.”

Seven Arts director Thom Hazaert also commented on his connection with the former wrestler.

“As Adam Scherr and I are both natives to Wisconsin, we immediately hit it off and I couldn’t be more pleased to play a small part in helping bring his vision for this film to life.”

Despite his recent WWE release, Scherr remains connected to the company through other projects. He is set to host a new food and travel show, “Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman,” produced by WWE Studios for the USA Network.

Jason Black, CEO of Seven Arts, addressed the new venture with optimism.

“Despite a quiet period of Company announcements, shareholders can be assured we have been actively working behind the scenes to bring significant value to Seven Arts. I am hyper focused on executing strong revenue deals for the Company and showing the market how obscenely undervalued we are. Announcements will be going from zero to a hundred over the next several weeks as we unveil the specifics of what we’re developing.”
