Paul Heyman Teases Brock Lesnar Reunion

On what is Brock Lesnar’s 48th birthday, his former advocate Paul Heyman posted a message that has reignited speculation about the former champion’s future. The simple post on X, formerly Twitter, has been interpreted by many as a tease for a potential reunion between the two.

“It’s the Birthday of the Beast!” Heyman stated.

This social media activity from Heyman is notable given Lesnar’s indefinite hiatus from WWE. Lesnar has not appeared on company programming since his match against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam in August 2023. His planned return for the 2024 Royal Rumble was canceled after his name was connected to the civil lawsuit filed by former employee Janel Grant against Vince McMahon.

The lawsuit alleges that McMahon used Lesnar, identified as a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, as a pawn in a sexual transaction during contract negotiations. While Lesnar is not a defendant in the case, WWE has since distanced itself from him, with his potential return being a decision for the company’s legal department rather than the creative team.

Heyman’s own on-screen history with Lesnar is complex, having famously betrayed him to align with Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble several years ago. The timing of this new post is also interesting, as Heyman has recently mentioned a “Plan B” in relation to a separate ongoing storyline, leading some to connect the two developments.

Despite reports from earlier this year confirming WWE had no active plans for his return due to the legal situation, Lesnar remains a figure of intense interest. He has been photographed publicly several times in 2025, sparking rumors that were quickly tempered by reports that a return remains unlikely until the legal matters are resolved.
