The undefeated AEW streak of Mercedes Moné has come to an end. At All In from Texas, “Timeless” Toni Storm defeated Moné to retain the AEW Women’s World Championship, handing the multi-promotional champion her first loss inside an AEW ring.
The high-profile title match, which Moné earned by winning the 2025 Owen Hart Cup tournament, culminated with Storm delivering an Avalanche Storm Zero for the decisive pinfall. The victory extends Storm’s own perfect record in 2025, bringing her to 16 wins with no losses in the calendar year. The bout was a physically taxing affair that left Moné needing assistance to the back.
This defeat in a world title match stands in stark contrast to Moné’s continued dominance elsewhere. While she failed to capture Storm’s championship, Moné remains the reigning AEW TBS Champion, a title she has held for over 400 days. Her collection of championships also includes the CMLL World Women’s Championship, the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship, and the EWA Women’s Championship, making her one of the most decorated active competitors in the sport.
The feud leading into the event was marked by intense pressure on Moné. During a live promo segment on the July 9 episode of AEW Dynamite, she made a minor verbal slip-up that drew a vocal reaction from the crowd. The segment intensified the rivalry, with Storm ultimately gaining the upper hand ahead of their pay-per-view encounter. Adding to the backstage narrative, AEW President Tony Khan recently dismissed rumors that Moné has creative control over her storylines.
With her successful title defense, Toni Storm’s focus now shifts to a new challenger. During the All In event, Athena won the women’s Casino Gauntlet Match, securing her position as the next contender for the AEW Women’s World Title.
