A number of legendary figures from women’s wrestling history are scheduled to be in Atlanta, Georgia, for tonight’s WWE Evolution 2 premium live event at the State Farm Arena. Among the names slated to appear are Jazz, Leilani Kai, Torrie Wilson, and Madusa, connecting multiple eras of the sport.
While the presence of these legends is set, Fightful Select reports that Gail Kim, despite an improved relationship with the company, is not expected to be part of the event.
The show features a significant generational clash as WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is scheduled to challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship. The match was initiated by Stratton, who stated her desire to defend her title against a legend and specifically chose Stratus. The two were previously victorious as tag team partners at Elimination Chamber in March 2025.
Another Hall of Famer, Nikki Bella, is a confirmed participant in the No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal. Her involvement was officially announced on the July 7 episode of WWE RAW. The winner of the match will secure a future championship opportunity at the Clash in Paris event. Nikki Bella’s placement in the battle royal follows a change in plans; a potential match involving Liv Morgan was reportedly scrapped after Morgan sustained a legitimate shoulder injury in June.
The event itself marks a historic occasion, taking place seven years after the inaugural Evolution in 2018 and a decade since the main roster debut of Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Sasha Banks, which is widely considered the start of WWE’s modern “Women’s Evolution.”
Adding to the list of potential appearances, a report from earlier in the week, on July 8, indicated that Hall of Famer Alundra Blayze was also scheduled to be in Atlanta for the event. Given her history, which includes a controversial incident on WCW Monday Nitro in 1995 and her eventual 2015 Hall of Fame induction, her presence adds another layer of historical significance. Both Blayze and Jazz are speculated as potential surprise entrants in the battle royal, further bridging the gap between past and present.
