2K Issues Emergency Hotfix for WWE 2K25

An emergency hotfix has been rolled out for WWE 2K25 to resolve a significant issue with missing custom images that emerged after a recent update. On Saturday, July 12, 2K announced the release of Patch 1.19, designed to fix problems that players began experiencing after the deployment of Patch 1.18 earlier in the week.

The issue became widespread following the release of Patch 1.18 around July 10, with players reporting that custom images like logos and tattoos were vanishing from their created superstars. The WWE Games social media account officially acknowledged the reports on Friday, July 11, confirming they were investigating the matter. A day later, the hotfix was announced.

To resolve the problem, players must take specific steps. According to the announcement, custom images on superstars downloaded from Community Creations will be restored after the character is redownloaded. However, for any locally saved creations, players will need to manually reapply the edits themselves.

The troubled Patch 1.18 was the source of the widespread glitches. Beyond deleting custom images, players also reported encountering long black screens and game freezes during the installation process. The update was intended to introduce a new, free chapter of the Wyatt Sicks questline in “The Island” mode, accessible through the cemetery in “The Deadlands.” It also aimed to fix a bug with the Undisputed WWE Championship nameplate and an issue with certain Create-A-Superstar parts being incorrectly marked as DLC.
