In her first singles match on WWE RAW in nearly seven years, Nikki Bella secured a victory over Chelsea Green, only to be met with a post-match ambush. The celebratory moment was cut short as Green, alongside her associates Alba Fyre and Piper Niven, launched an attack on the Hall of Famer.
The intervention of Stephanie Vaquer, who won Sunday’s battle royal at Evolution, prevented further damage. Vaquer rushed to the ring to even the odds, clearing out the attackers and standing tall with Bella as the segment concluded on the July 14 broadcast from Birmingham, Alabama.
During the match, Fyre and Niven repeatedly attempted to interfere on Green’s behalf. Despite the disadvantage, Bella overcame the odds and interference, putting Green away with the Rack Attack 2.0 to earn the pinfall victory.
The bout was made official by WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce following a heated confrontation between the two competitors during the battle royal at Evolution on Sunday. The animosity from that encounter, which saw both women eliminated, spilled over into a backstage segment on RAW where Green confronted Vaquer, arguing she was more deserving of the championship opportunity Vaquer had earned.
This marked Bella’s first one-on-one contest on broadcast television since she challenged Ronda Rousey for the “Raw” Women’s Championship at the inaugural Evolution in 2018. Her most recent appearances prior to this week included the 2022 and 2025 Royal Rumble matches and Sunday’s battle royal, where she was among the final four participants.
