Enzo Amore Makes Major Announcement Regarding TNA Slammiversary

An impending invasion is set for TNA Slammiversary. During the final episode of TNA iMPACT! before the pay-per-view, a vignette aired announcing that Real1 (Enzo Amore) and Zilla Fatu are coming to the event. The two will represent the 4TH ROPE wrestling promotion, started by hip-hop artist Westside Gunn.

The announcement came in a promo package produced in the style of the nWo, complete with a message stating it was “Paid for by 4TH ROPE.” In the vignette, Real1 ridiculed TNA management and declared his intention to crash the event, warning that he would not be alone. He claimed arena security would be more likely to help him “jump the rail” than stop him.

This move marks a significant inter-promotional crossover, with Real1 holding the 4TH ROPE Flyweight Championship and Zilla Fatu holding the promotion’s World Heavyweight Championship. Fatu’s involvement is particularly notable due to his lineage as the son of the late Umaga and a member of the esteemed Anoa’i wrestling dynasty.

While no specific match was announced, the threat did not go unanswered. A separate promo featuring TNA International Champion Steve Maclin aired shortly after. Though he never mentioned Real1 or 4TH ROPE by name, Maclin emphasized his role as a fighting champion and stated he was ready to defend TNA against anyone from any promotion.

The storyline has significantly boosted anticipation for Slammiversary, which takes place on Sunday, July 20, at the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York. The hype surrounding the potential invasion has contributed to a surge in ticket demand, with TNA set to break a decade-long company record for attendance at a U.S. live event.
