The Latino World Order has punched its ticket to a World Tag Team Championship opportunity. On the July 21 edition of WWE RAW in Houston, Texas, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro won a pivotal triple threat match to become the new number one contenders.
Their victory came at the expense of The New Day and The Creed Brothers. The match was the first for The New Day since losing the tag team titles to The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh several weeks ago.
The finish of the match involved significant outside interference.
After a backstage argument earlier in the night between Dragon Lee and El Grande Americano, El Grande involved himself in the proceedings. This action caused a chaotic scene at ringside, which the LWO used to their advantage.
Wilde and Del Toro capitalized on the disorder, pinning a member of The New Day to secure the win. While the LWO’s victory sets them on a collision course with The Judgment Day, WWE has not yet announced when the championship match will take place.
