WWE has major plans for Stephanie Vaquer, with a new report indicating a “significant push” is being prepared for the RAW star heading into the fall season.
According to WrestleVotes Radio, the promotion is preparing to heavily feature Vaquer, who moved from NXT to the main roster in May 2024. The push involves enhancements to her overall presentation, though key elements of her established character are set to remain.
“WWE has significant plans for Stephanie Vaquer heading into the fall, marketing and Creative Services have already presented her with several character upgrades, including refinements to her overall presentation, though her signature horns are expected to remain part of the look.”
This creative investment comes as Vaquer is already positioned for a major championship match. After winning the 20-Woman Battle Royal at WWE Evolution on July 13, she earned a Women’s World Championship opportunity at Clash in Paris on August 31. Her opponent will be determined at SummerSlam in a Triple Threat match between Naomi, IYO SKY, and Rhea Ripley.
The report also noted that Vaquer’s post-match interview with Stephanie McMahon at Evolution was a calculated move to endorse her as a future top star.
“We’re also told the post-match interview with Stephanie McMahon at Evolution was done intentionally as a way to elevate Vaquer by placing her alongside McMahon and positioning her as a major star going forward.”
Vaquer’s main roster ascension follows a decorated run in NXT, where she made history as the brand’s first-ever female double champion by holding both the NXT Women’s and North American Championships simultaneously. This established track record, combined with her acclaimed match against Mercedes Moné at Forbidden Door in June 2024, provides a strong foundation for WWE’s current confidence in her as a main event talent.
