WWE Reportedly Trying To Stifle Karrion Kross’s Momentum

Despite securing a victory over his rival Sami Zayn, wrestling commentator Bin Hamin believes WWE actively “buried” Karrion Kross twice during the July 21 episode of WWE RAW. Speaking on WWE SmackDown & Raw Review Clips, Hamin argued that the company’s presentation of Kross undercut the significance of his win and weakened his dominant character.

Hamin pointed to several production choices that diminished Kross’s presence. He noted that Kross’s entrance was omitted entirely, and when Kross sustained a visible injury during the match, the broadcast quickly cut away, neutralizing the dramatic impact of the moment.

“Killer Cross is already in the ring. No entrance,” Hamin said. “Things get sideways. Cross has got color now. We rewind around it like five times. I don’t even know what he hurt his nose on. From that flip in the corner, where it was Sammy’s elbow that hit him, or what? And then we go over. No pop, cut right away. No business afterwards. They couldn’t have cut him any shorter even in his win, to get their stage picture. They do the kiss and there’s no heat afterwards.”

The criticism extended to Kross’s character portrayal backstage. Hamin feels that segments involving Kross and his real-life wife, Scarlett, stray into “husband and wife hijinks” instead of reinforcing their threatening on-screen personas.

“And now we’re doing husband and wife hijinks with Killer Cross backstage when they should be natural-born killers. They should be Quentin Tarantino,” he added.

These booking decisions come at a critical time in Kross’s intense feud with Sami Zayn. The rivalry, which began with psychological warfare early in 2025, saw Zayn defeat Kross at Night of Champions. However, Kross escalated the conflict with a pipe attack on WWE RAW, leading to his victory on July 21 and setting up a high-stakes rematch at SummerSlam.

According to Hamin, WWE is failing to capitalize on Kross’s momentum and fan support. The conversation around the industry suggests this kind of limited booking could be a deliberate tactic to create backstage frustration, potentially impacting future contract negotiations. Fontes
