New details have emerged regarding the death of WWE legend Hulk Hogan, revealing the official cause and a previously unknown battle with cancer. A report from the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center confirmed that Hogan, 71, died from an acute myocardial infarction, the medical term for a heart attack.
The wrestling icon passed away on July 24 in Clearwater, Florida, after initial reports cited cardiac arrest. The official documents, obtained by Page Six, provide a clearer medical picture. Hogan had a documented history of atrial fibrillation (AFib), a condition characterized by an irregular and often rapid heartbeat that increases the risk of heart-related complications.
Most notably, the records disclosed a medical battle that Hogan kept from the public. The report confirmed he had a history of leukemia CLL, a type of cancer that impacts the body’s white blood cells. There was no prior public knowledge that Hogan had been fighting the disease.
Hogan’s death followed a recent neck surgery in May that had led to debilitating health conditions. Since his passing, WWE has honored the six-time champion with tributes on WWE RAW, SmackDown, and NXT, recognizing the man who was instrumental in transforming professional wrestling into a global phenomenon.
